Why Study Media and Communications?

Studying Media and Communications helps you understand an important aspect of today's society. We communicate all the time, and media is ever present in our lives. Understanding and using both skilfully and creatively makes you an asset to the society you live in.

 

 
The enormous technological change that is constantly revolutionising our lives is reflected in the media that infuses those same lives. Studying Media and Communications gives you an analytical understanding of the different elements that make up this exciting area of study. Journalism, Film and Video, Internet Communications, Marketing Communications, Gaming, Graphic Design are explored, alongside the skills needed to research and analyse this staple base of society.

  • MA by Research (part-time basis, for a duration of 6 semesters, OR full-time basis, for a duration of 3 semesters)

The Department of Media and Communications offers you a number of courses which prepares the student for a career in many of the different aspects of Media and Communications
