| DESCRIPTION | This consists of a synoptic exam intended to test the students' comprehension and ability to synthesise and connect knowledge and skills acquired during the first year of the two-year diploma course in Library and Information Studies. Study-unit Aims: Testing the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to show: Demonstration, on the students' part, of the acquisition of knowledge and understanding covered in study units during the first year of the course. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to show: Demonstration, on the students' part, of the acquisition of skills covered in study units during the first year of the course. Main Text/s and any supplementary readings: Texts as listed in the respective study units pertaining to the Diploma in Library and Information Studies. |
