Compliance status

UM is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disability; thus, the relevant standards are applied on the UM website and are improved when necessary.

General principles of navigation and usability are applied throughout the site in order to help all visitors.

The University adheres to the guidelines of the Web Accessibility Initiative and to the standard format set by the W3C and ensures that the web content is accessible to all including those with limitations pertaining to disability. The UM website is in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Conformance Level AA.

Since the University website is undergoing a transitory period, until all information is migrated to the new templates, it is possible that older pages might not conform to these standards. However, as a team, we are actively engaging with information providers across the University to ensure that all future web pages are compliant with accessibility guidelines. We intend to continue improving the accessibility of our site, so for any difficulties in accessing the site, or for any suggestions which would improve our accessibility, please contact us.
