Renewal of German Support to the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies

The German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to support the work of MEDAC. At the Maltese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs the Hon. Dr. George Vella, the agreement was signed by Ambassador Klaus-Peter Brandes, representing the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and Professor Stephen Calleya, Director of MEDAC. The agreement will allow the Academy to benefit from the continuation of the German Chair for Peace Studies and Conflict Prevention until the end of 2016.  The Chair was inaugurated in October 2009.
