New Master in Laparoscopic Surgery Programme M. Lap. Surg. (Melit.) 

 

The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in collaboration with the Associazione Chirurghi Ospedalieri Italiani (ACOI) will be offering a New Master Programme in Laparoscopic Surgery. This programme is offered in English, on Full-Time basis (over 1 year: 3 semesters) and on Part-Time basis (over 2 years: 6 semesters) and consists of 90 ECTS credits made up as follows:

- 30 taught ECTS credits will be held at the University of Malta. Full-time and Part-time students shall be attending the first semester of the first year together and teaching will be scheduled predominantly after 3pm;  

- 30 ECTS credits in Laparoscopic Surgery constitute hands-on training in specialized hospitals in Italy.  Full Time and Part time students are expected to attend. Course fees do not include  costs of travel and accommodation; and

30 ECTS Dissertation. Supervision can be made by a University of Malta academic member of staff or by a tutor from ACOI depending on the subject area. The viva voce examination will be held in Malta.
