The next course is now being offered also in Gozo

Forty-four students were recently awarded the University's Certificate of Proofreading in Maltese and the Proofreading Warrant from the National Council for the Maltese Language, after completing the one-year university course in proofreading Maltese. In all, 217 proofreaders have completed this part-time course since it started in 2006.

The eighth course will start next February in Malta, and also at the Gozo Campus in Xewkija. If you need to polish up your Maltese writing, online applications for both courses are being received until 18 January. Further information can be obtained online or via email.

Various activities were held during the month of December 2012 in order to kindle the Christmas spirit amongst staff and students. The activities included a Christmas concert 'How the Grinch stole our Christmas concert', a Christmas march by the JC band and a celebration mass in the foyer.

Besides these activities, others were organised in order to collect funds for Dar tal-Providenza. These included  a Christmas cake, creperie and sweet stand, football matches and a Christmas raffle. Students presented proceeds from these activities, which amounted to €1,500, to Dar tal-Providenza during the 'Festa ta' Ġenerozita' held on 1 January 2013.
