Research and Innovation Programme 2008
Business Breakfast
5th December 2007
0900hrs – 1130hrs
Corinthia San Ġorġ Hotel, St. Julians
The Malta Council for Science and Technology is organising a business breakfast on the R&I Programme 2008, on Wednesday December 5, 2007 between 0900hrs and 1130hrs at the Corinthia San Ġorġ Hotel, St Julians.
The R&I Funding Programme was introduced in 2004 and is the most important vehicle for state financing of local research activities, both in academia as well as in government and the private sector. The fund of Lm300,000 (€700,000) is heavily oversubscribed, with past programmes typically receiving requests for total funding in the region of Lm3 million.
The objectives of this event are as follows:
- to raise awareness of the importance of R&I in today’s socio-economic environment
- to highlight local competencies and activities in local research
- to disseminate the benefits of the fund through the presentation of a number of case-studies of projects which have been financed through this fund.
Registration can be done online through MCST website at www.mcst.gov.mt under the Events section.
Participation is free of charge.
