Members of the public and academics are invited to attend a National Conference entitled Laudato Si' organised by the Interdiocesan Commission for Environment. The conference will discuss the implications of Pope Francis' encyclical in the Maltese context.
Dr Marie Briguglio of the Department of Economics will chair the discussion among a panel that includes the Hon. Dr Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr Simon Busuttil, Leader of the Opposition as well as Perit Carmel Cacopardo from Alternattiva Demokratika, together with Perit Joanna Spiteri Staines, Prof. Simone Borg and Dr Mark C. Mifsud.
The conference will be addressed by H.E. the Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna and will take place at the Catholic Institute Floriana, at 18:00 on Friday 4 December. It will continue with a skype link to Gozo on Saturday 5 December at 09:00.
