Professor Maurice Mullard, from the University of Hull, will be the guest speaker at a lecture being organised by the Institute of Public Administration and Management at the University of Malta. The theme of the lecture is: The Comprehensive Spending Review: Implementing the Process in Malta.
The Comprehensive Spending Review was first launched in Malta in 2014. This lecture will explore the connections between theory and policy practice, between ideas and the policy process. To this extent the discussion will explore both the theorising of public expenditure control and how the expenditure review contributes to policy reform in Malta.
Professor Maurice Mullard is Reader Emeritus in Public Policy at the University of Hull and is at present Advisor to the Malta Government.
His publications include The Politics of Recession, Globalisation Democracy and Citizenship, The Politics of Public Expenditure, Social Policy in Europe, and Understanding Economic Policy.
The lecture will be held on Wednesday 11 May at 18:30 at the Auditorium, University of Malta Valletta Campus, St Paul Street Valletta. Refreshments will be served.
