The Faculty for Social Wellbeing Doctoral Programme Committee is offering, as one of its continuing activities, a 'Writing Retreat' enabling all participants to get down to writing at whatever stage of the research process they have reached.
'Writing Retreat' is run by two scholars, Dr Sam Hopkins and Dr Dawn Duke, from the University of Surrey's Researcher Development Programme. This is a team which supports postgraduate researchers, early career researchers and supervisors across all disciplines. This retreat is open to all University members of staff and students who are reading for a Ph.D. at the University of Malta or any foreign university.

The two-day intense course will involve large blocks of time for writing. This writing time will be complemented by short workshops and sessions with an assigned 'writing mentor'. It is a seminar not to be missed for those who want to get away from any distractions and focus on solid writing.
The retreat will be held at Mount St Joseph on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December, starting at 09:00 on both days and ending late afternoon (coffee break and lunch are included on both days).
Those interested are kindly requested to send an email by not later than Thursday 24 November to sara.mizzi@um.edu.mt. Places are limited and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
