The European Commission Representation in Malta, in collaboration with the Department of International Relations and the Institute for European Studies, would like to invite you for a lecture and subsequent student debate on "The EU as a Global trade partner" with Cecilia Malmström, EU Commissioner for Trade on Thursday, 2 March 2017 at 1300hrs at the Arts Lecture Theatre, University of Malta.
International trade and trade agreements are an integral part of the Commissioner's portfolio that include, among others, the representation of the EU on the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and other international trade fora, as well as negotiating bilateral trade agreements with key countries including with the U.S. (the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)).
