Is a vote for a third party a vote wasted? Are third parties really fulfilling their role in Maltese society, especially given a growing disillusionment in the political system?
The University of Malta Debating Union (MUDU) is proud to announce its second debate, building on a sequence of successful events. This debate will see Maltese politicians from various parties putting their arguments forward in favour or against third parties in a typical debate style.
MP Chris Fearne, MP Claudette Buttigieg and University student Michael Piccinino will be putting their arguments to the floor as to why a vote for a third party is lost in our current system, with Prof. Arnold Cassola, Dr Anthony Buttigieg and university student Stefan Cutajar speaking against the motion, speaking on why a vote for a third party is not a vote wasted.
Members of the audience will also have the opportunity to put their opinions forward, so be sure to join us on 25 April at 13:30 on Quad, to listen to what our speakers have to say and to join in yourself. T
