It was 500 years ago that the Augustinian friar, Martin Luther, nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the Castle Church at Wittenberg, setting off a train of events that had far-reaching effects on most spheres of human activity.
A Symposium 'The Reformation: Impacts and Consequences' organised by the Humanities, Medicine and Science Programme (HUMS) of the University of Malta will commemorate the anniversary of this critical turning point in European history. It brings to bear a variety of disciplinary perspectives on the natures, the contestations and the legacies of the Reformation.
The event will be held on Wednesday 10 May 2017 at 18:00 at Valletta Campus, University of Malta, and is supported by the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Theology, the Augustinian Institute and the Malta University Historical Society
