The Department of Family Studies within the Faculty for Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta announces a training workshop on Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs).
This workshop will offer participants the opportunity to gain an understanding of RCTs, the advantages and disadvantages of using RCTs and their application in social policy. Participants will be exposed to different examples of studies using RCTs and will benefit from learning about the skills necessary to conduct RCTs and different experimental designs using randomisation.
The workshop will be led by Professor Paul Montgomery and Ms Ingrid Grech Lanfranco.
The Department of Family Studies would like to invite academics as well as professionals in the areas of social policy, family studies, family therapy, psychotherapy, counselling, psychology, social work, health sciences, medicine and psychiatry to attend. Students in these areas at Master’s or Ph.D level are also welcome.
The course will be held at the University of Malta Main Campus at Msida. On Tuesday 16 May it shall run from 09:00 to 15:00 and on Thursday 18 May it shall run from 09:00 to 13:00.
The workshop will be held at IT Services VC102.
The participant rate for the workshop is EUR 90 and the student rate is EUR 50.
