Immanuel Mifsud’s book Fl-Isem tal-Missier (u tal-Iben) has recently been published in its French version by one of the leading European publishers Gallimard. This French version, titled Je t'ai vu pleurer, has been translated by Lyon based poet and translator Nadia Mifsud.
Fl-Isem tal-Missier (u tal-Iben) was first published by Klabb Kotba Maltin in 2010. The following year it was awarded the European Union Prize for Literature and translated into English by Albert Gatt. In 2013 the book was published in Romania by Editura Polirom with a translation by Romanian poet Denisa Duran. It was also published last year in Macedonia and launched at Saints Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje where Dr Mifsud was giving a series of lectures on gaze theory in literature.
