The University of Malta’s Faculty of Arts is currently accepting applications for the highly successful Master of Arts in Film Studies which is being offered by the University, with the support of the Ministry for Tourism and the Malta Film Commission.
The programme, which is starting in October 2016, will be offered on a part-time basis over six semesters and includes a taught component and a dissertation or project.

It will impart hands-on essential professional skills of filmmaking, covering all the stages from scriptwriting to actual production on screen. This will be delivered by accomplished international filmmakers.
The Master of Arts in Film Studies is flexible and is designed for students from different academic backgrounds. It welcomes graduates holding a first degree from a recognised university, who have a strong interest in both the theory and practice of film.
Applications from candidates not in possession of a first cycle degree but who have extensive experience in a related area will be taken into consideration.
