The Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and the Department of Environmental Health Faculty of Health Sciences recently hosted an all partners meeting for the Erasmus+ project IT-Based International diploma and professional certificates in clinical toxicology. The other partners in the ITCT project include various Egyptian Universities; University of Newcastle, UK; and Royal School of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
The European partners are advising their Egyptian colleagues on the development of an IT based multi-disciplinary diploma program in toxicology for Egyptian practitioners with medical and pharmaceutical backgrounds. The course will deal with the prevention and treatment of natural and synthetic poisons in agricultural, pharmaceutical, industrial, petrochemical as well as domestic and home usage and contribute to the development of hands-on skills for professionals in clinical toxicology through lab experimental setups.
