The Department of Spanish & Latin American Studies of the University of Malta recently presented its latest publication, ESPAÑA, MALTA Y EL MEDITERRÁNEO: LAS RELACIONES HISPANO-MALTESAS DURANTE LA EDAD MODERNA, at the University of Valencia at the invitation of the Faculty of Arts of the same university.
Present at the event were Prof. Daniel Muñoz and Prof. Ricardo Franch of the Department of History; the Dean, Prof. Ester Alba; Don Ricardo Sicluna, President of the Valencian Association of the Friends of Malta, whose members descend from Maltese settlers in eighteenth-century Spain; Consul Fernando Estelles, in representation of the Maltese Ambassador to Madrid; Prof. Carmel Vassallo; and members of the public.
