A delegation from the European Centre for Economic, Academic & Cultural Diplomacy, CIDIC, welcomed the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union as an opportunity to hold meetings at the University of Malta Valletta Campus, with the Minister for Education and Employment, the Hon. Evarist Bartolo, University of Malta Rector, Professor Alfred J. Vella, and various other academic stakeholders.
CIDIC members represent institutions in Brussels who are active in the political, economic, academic, industrial, artistic and cultural world. CIDIC was founded in 2010 to address the need for greater efficiency in establishing economic and academic contacts that are increasingly important in the exercise of its members’ functions, a trend now called Economic and Academic Diplomacy.
The meetings focused on the themes 'The Value of International Academic Networking' and 'Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship in an International Context'.
