Professor Carmel Borg has recently returned from the University of Gdansk in Poland where he delivered a keynote speech on transformative education in troubled times. He also led two well-attended doctoral seminars on social justice education and on parents, intersectionality and education respectively. The Gdansk experience followed another visit, in Finland, where he was invited to deliver two lectures in the context of an international course on parent-focused professional environments.
Professor Borg has recently been conferred with the title of honorary visiting professor by Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands, in recognition of his ongoing contribution to the internationalisation of the university. In the past three years Prof. Borg delivered several keynote speeches at Zuyd University and contributed substantially to a Zuyd-led international consortium of universities dedicated to parent-centered communities of practice. This is Professor Borg’s third honorary visiting professorship.
In the third and fourth quarter of this year Professor Borg will be delivering keynote speeches, courses and lectures in Athens, Vilnius, London, Wroclaw and Bruges.
