The University of Malta’s Department of Library Information and Archive Sciences forms part of the vibrant Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences, consisting of six departments which cover various aspects of communication.
The Department provides the education necessary to compete and succeed in this contemporary information age, catering for both traditional print and archival material to digital, sound and moving image ones.
The Department thus offers unique opportunities to build and expand one’s knowledge, skills and capabilities in diverse information professions through the diploma, first degree and masters-level courses it offers. Students of all age groups regularly follow the department’s courses, either on full-time or part-time basis, depending on the nature of the course.
