Call for Nomination of expert to participate in a foresight workshop on 'Future innovative and autonomous technologies to monitor and mitigate effects of anthropogenic use in coastal and regional seas'.
This upcoming JPI Oceans workshop is being organised by the CSA Oceans 2 project to support the Management Board by developing concrete recommendations for future JPI Oceans activities in this field. It will address the question: 'What future innovative and autonomous technologies are needed in Europe to align the efforts of science and industry to monitor and mitigate anthropogenic impacts such as marine pollution?'
It will be taking place in Toulon, France on 14-15 December. Travel costs for the nominated expert will be reimbursed for up to EUR 400 economy class flights and up to two nights of accommodation (max. EUR 150 per night).
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in the area of expertise together with a minimum of 5 years experience in the development / research of technologies to measure and/or reduce the environmental impact of economic activities (chemicals, noise pollution, etc.) on coastal areas and seas. Publications in the field and industrial experience will be considered an asset.
