To promote the educational value of the Argotti Botanic Gardens, schools are again being invited to take part in organised tours. One to one-and-a-half hour visits are envisaged, comprising a tour of the gardens and some hands-on practical exercises. Groups should not exceed 25 students and must be accompanied by a teacher.  Two or more groups from the same school may be accommodated in the same morning.

Tours will be adapted to different age groups. Year 1 to Form 5 students are welcome. Separate arrangements can be made for Biology and Geography teachers who would be most welcome to bring their groups for botany-related lectures and practicals. This year, a number of loan boxes of plant material will be made available to each school as a measure to enhance interactive learning within classrooms.

The tours are to be held Monday to Friday morning and are strictly by appointment.  For bookings kindly contact us on +356 21 248984 / 21233485 or by email.
