Bridging the Gap? Legal Language and Comprehension Dr Jeanne Mifsud Bonnici will be giving the paper during another of the Work in Progress Seminars on Wednesday 1 March - Bridging the Gap? Legal Language and Comprehension.  It will be at the Lecture Centre, University of Malta, Room 118, 5.30 pm, followed by drinks.  The public is welcome.  Dr. Mifsud Bonnici is a graduate of the Universities of Malta and  Birmingham.  She  lectures on law and language in the Faculty of Laws, University of Malta. The Wednesday paper is part of her research on the legibility of Maltese Laws.  She will be exploring examples from current law in order to answer the question -  is legal language obscure and archaic?  She will also examine the Myth of Precision often used by lawyers to justify legal language.
