ADMISSION 2003

Preparatory meetings for prospective Maltese university students are to be held between 9.00 am and 11.00 am in the Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta on Monday, 21 July 2003 and Tuesday, 22 July 2003. The meetings will be addressed by representatives of the Students' Advisory Services, Counselling Services, Admissions & Records Office and Stipends Office. Students will be able to ask questions about entry requirements and any special course requirements as well as about filling in application forms. Orientation sessions for international students will be held at the end of September.

Applications for admission to all University of Malta certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses commencing in October 2003 will be received between 24 and 29 July, 8.30 am - 12.30 pm at the M. A. Vassalli Lecture Centre, University of Malta and at the University Gozo Centre.  Full details may be seen at http://www.um.edu.mt/noticeboard/admission03.html/ and will also be advertised shortly.

Together with their application, candidates are required to submit: original certificates; photocopies of all certificates including two photocopies of Matriculation Certificate; two passport size photographs; photocopy of their I.D. card (both sides) and National Insurance number.

A full list of courses may be seen at the University and at the Gozo Centre or on the Web at http://www.um.edu.mt/courses/  The Information Booklet and Application Forms may be obtained from the Admissions and Records Office or the Students' Advisory Office at the University. For detailed information about Courses, Faculties and Careers, prospective students may tune-in to "Dis-Course" on Campus FM 103.7 on Mondays and Wednesdays between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm. The Students Advisory Services will answer any phone-ins during the programme.

Late applications except for courses in which the number of students is limited may be submitted up to Friday, 29 August against a late application fee of Lm15 and thereafter at the discretion of the Faculty against a late application fee of Lm50. Any requests for amendments (change or transfer of course) to the original application after 29 July is subject to a fee of Lm15.
