A very interesting exhibition covering miniature models of Maltese tools, agricultural implements and musical folklore instruments as well as a cross-section of literature on the subject will be inaugurated by University Rector Prof. Roger Ellul Micallef at the University of Malta Library on Thursday 6th March 2003 at 11.00a.m. The exhibition is being organized by the Department of Maltese on the initiative of folklore scholar Dr. Gorg Mifsud Chircop, with the collaboration of Mr. Frans Farrugia who has produced the painstakingly accurate miniature models. The exhibition will be open during office hours Mondays to Fridays, Saturdays 9.00 ­12.00p.m., until Friday 25th April 2003. For the benefit of secondary school students a number of interactive sessions are being organized for groups of thirty on Tuesday mornings on the 11th, 18th, 25th March and 1st, 8th April 2003.
