During a short ceremony, in the presence of University Library Officials,
Dr Ing Jonathan C. Borg, Head Department of Manufacturing Engineering, presented
the Rector, Prof Roger Ellul-Micallef with copies of the book
'Knowledge Intensive Design Technology'.
The book, edited by Dr Borg, Mr Philip Farrugia and Dr Ing Kenneth P.
Camilleri, consists of refereed papers selected from those that were presented
at the Fifth IFIP WG5.2 Workshop on Knowledge Intensive CAD held
in Malta during 2002. Published by Kluwer Academic, this book is
essential reading for practicing engineers/scientists involved in R&D
as well as for relevant Masters and Ph.D. students.
It has so far already been distributed to various readers in Australia,
Hong Kong, Japan, Europe and USA. Both the Rector and University
Library Director, Mr Anthony Mangion thanked the editors for their work
in publishing this book and for the presentation of copies to the University
Library.
