Courses at Institute of Health Care
B.Sc. (Hons) Environmental Health and B.Sc. (Hons) Mental Health Nursing
are two of the courses which will commence this October.
Those students who successfully complete the first two years of the
Environmental Health programme, may be given the possibility of branching
into Nutrition or Dietetics both of which are potentially good employment
areas.
The B.Sc. Mental Health Nursing Studies programme will address all
aspects of psychiatry, psychology, sociology, psychiatric nursing and personal
development necessary to prepare sophisticated and highly professional
graduates in mental health nursing. Those interested in following
this programme must have the University entry requirements or be able to
apply under the maturity clause (23 years or older). They must have
a strong sense of caring, be highly motivated and able to use their own
initiative. An open public meeting is being held at the Institute
of Health Care, St Luke's Hospital at 0900hrs on 4 August, 2004.

of 30 students); B.Sc. (Hons) Communication Therapy; B.Sc. (Hons) Medical

to a maximum of 15 students)
B.Sc. (Hons) Radiography; Post Qual. Diploma in Health Services Management;
M.Sc. in Nursing/Midwifery Studies.
