Dr Jason Lamprianou, CFAS, School of Education, University of Manchester, has been invited to conduct a workshop which will serve as a practical introduction to test/questionnaire development and analysis using Rasch models: Instrument development, Test equating and Disagreement of Markers. This is being organised by the Institute for Physical Education and Sport in collaboration with the Faculty of Education and is of interest to Lecturers and researchers using statistical analysis in their courses or research as well as to examiners. Participants will be introduced to the theory and literature on the Rasch models and will be taught how to interpret results of Rasch analysis. The workshop is to be held on Wednesday, 4 February 2004 between 14:00 and 16:00 in the Board Room (Room 326), Faculty of Education and Computer Lab 2 Room 325.  To register, e-mail Dr Gemma van Vuuren-Cassar: gcas1@um.edu.mt or phone 2340 2099.
