SHORT COURSES IN:
* BODYWORKS
* OFFICE COMPUTER AND INTERNET SKILLS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
* SAGE – THE ACCOUNTING PACKAGE
The University of Malta Gozo Centre will be organising the following Three
short courses, during April and May 2004.
BODYWORKS
The aim of the course is to provide information to participants on matters
relating to our body. We need to take care of our body to stay healthy
on a physical as well as on a psychological level. This course considers
the body from different interesting aspects, including the physical, psychological,
historical, spiritual and creative perspectives.
The tutors of this course are all professionals in their respective field.
The course will be spread over 3 weekends, from Friday 2nd April to Saturday
24th April 2004. No lectures will be held on 9th and 10th April. There
will be three sessions every weekend: Friday session from 1800hrs to 2000hrs;
Saturday morning session from 0900hrs to 1100hrs & Saturday evening session
from 1330hrs to 1530hrs. The course fee is Lm35 per person.
OFFICE COMPUTER & INTERNET SKILLS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
The aim of the course is to help participants develop office and internet
skills. It is aimed purposely for Senior Citizens. Other applicants
will be considered subject to availability of places.
The tutor of the course is Mr Frank Tabone. The course will be spread
over 7 weeks, from Tuesday 13th April to Thursday 27th May 2004. There will
be two sessions every week: Tuesday session from 1800hrs to 2000hrs and Thursday
session from 1800hrs to 2000hrs. The course fee is Lm20 per person.
SAGE – THE ACCOUNTING PACKAGE
The aim of the course is to provide hands-on training on the leading accounting
package, namely SAGE. The course should be beneficial to all persons who
wish to use SAGE to keep proper books of account. The course has been
designed to show participants the procedure involved in converting from a
manual to a computerised accounting system. Those who aspire to take up clerical
employment within an accounting environment can also benefit.
The tutor of the course is Mr Ivan Grixti. The course will be spread over
7 weekends, from Friday 16th April to Saturday 29th May 2004. There will
be two sessions every weekend: Friday sessions from 1800hrs to 2000hrs and
Saturday sessions from 9000hrs to 1100 hrs. The course fee is Lm35 per person.
