To celebrate the International Women's Day, The Women's Study Group is organising a seminar on 'Women in Decision-Making" on Tuesday 9th March at Sarria Church Floriana between 5.45and 8.30pm. The seminar will consist of a presentation on 'Women in Decision-Making', by Ms Renee Laiviera, followed by a panel of speakers: Hon Dolores Cristina (PN) (to be confirmed), Hon Helena Dalli (MLP), Mr Mario Mallia (AD),and Josephine Attard Sultana (GWU). The panel will be chaired by Dr JosAnn Cutajar. A general discussion on the way forward will end the seminar. The outcome of the seminar will be submitted to the Minister for Social Policy, as the holder of the portfolio of gender equality. The general public is encouraged to attend so that a wide spectrum of opinions and ideas are incorporated in the final submissions. The Women's Study Group works towards developing consciousness regarding women's social conditions and strives to achieve women's full participation in all aspects of economic, social and political life.
