UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS 2005

Preparatory meetings for prospective Maltese university students are to be held between 9.00 am and 11.00 am in the Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta on Monday, 18th and Tuesday, 19th July 2005. The meeting will be addressed by representatives of the Students Advisory Services, Counselling Services, Admissions & Records Office and Stipends Office. Students will be able to ask questions about entry requirements and any special course requirements as well as about filling in application forms. Orientation sessions for international students will be held at the end of September.

Applications for admission to all University of Malta certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses commencing in October 2005 will be received between 20th and 25th July, 8.30 am - 12.30 pm at the M. A. Vassalli Lecture Centre (Gateway Building) and at the University Gozo Centre. Full details may be seen at http://www.um.edu.mt/noticeboard/admissions05.pdfand will also be advertised shortly.

Together with their application, candidates are required to submit: two photocopies of educational certificates including copies of the Matriculation Certificate; two passport size photographs; photocopy of their I.D. card (both sides) and National Insurance number and original bank receipt/deposit slip for application fee.

For detailed information about Courses, Faculties and Careers, prospective students may tune-in to "Dis-Course" on Campus FM 103.7 on Wednesdays between 10.00 am and 10.30 am. The Students Advisory Services will answer any phone-ins during the programme.

Late applications (except for courses where the number of students is limited) may be submitted up to Wednesday, 31st August 2005 against an additional late application fee of Lm15 and thereafter at the discretion of the Faculty against an additional late application fee of Lm50. Any requests for amendments (change or transfer of course) to the original application after 26th July and up to 31st August is subject to a fee of Lm15. Requests for amendments (change or transfer of course) after 1st September will only be accepted at the discretion of the Faculty concerned against a late application fee of Lm20. The Office Hours are between 8.30 am and 12.00 Noon.
