E-MAPS - European Masters in Performer Studies THE INVISIBLE ARTS/SCIENCES BRIDGE - ITS HUMAN FOUNDATIONS

2nd Annual Conference in anticipation of the launch, in 2007, of the totally unique five disciplinary European Masters degree programme – E-MAPS.

With its multidisciplinary nature – cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology, sports science, philosophy, and performer studies – E-MAPS aims to open vistas for employability in innovation and in what is being hailed as the emerging paradigm: the Creativity Economy.

In this conference, the Sciences and the Humanities face each other in two Q&A sessions. The different disciplines will present the roles their respective fields play in the study of Memory Systems, Learning Processes and Creativity. Guest speaker Dott. ssa M.A. Umiltà - Research Collaborator of Professor Giacomo Rizzolatti, the neuroscientist who in 1996 discovered the Mirror Neuron System, will open the conference with her paper ‘Interpersonal relation: a Neuroscientific Perspective. .
