Seminars on Leadership The Institute of Health Care supported by the Health Services Management Division and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health organized a series of seminars on Leadership. Dr Sandra Buttigieg, Director of the Institute of Health Care co-ordinated these seminars.  Dr Michael Grojean, Director of the Centre for Leadership Excellence at Aston University, Birmingham was the guest speaker and facilitated the seminars.

For the first seminar "Organisational Mentorship: Critical Paths for Leader Development" the heads of Departments in the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery and the Institute of Health Care, University of Malta participated.

For the second and third days, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Anthony Vella, Dr Ray Busuttil, Director General and all the Directors at the Department of Health participated in the two seminars: "The Transformational Executive" and "Leading Change: Implications for the Executive".

All sessions were attended by Professor J. Rizzo Naudi, Chancellor of the University of Malta and Chairman of the Institute of Health Care who actively contributed during theses seminars.

Furthermore, these seminars provided an opportunity to establish direct links with the leaders of the Health Service in Malta.
