Short Courses at the University Gozo Centre The University of Malta Gozo Centre will be organising the following three short courses, commencing in April 2005.
PIONEERS OF PSYCHOLOGY
The course will cover great figures who paved the way for the contemporary science of behaviour, called Psychology. The course will take an integrative approach, to help participants to apply some of the very interesting skills to their own lives.
The course should be of interest to those interested in general Psychology, and with particular focus on being open to be challenged to see themselves and others from a holistic point of view, through the eyes of key players of Psychology.
The course will be spread over 4 weekends, from Friday 8 April to Saturday 30 April 2005. There will be two sessions every weekend: Friday session from 1800 to 2000 hrs and Saturday session from 0830 to 1030 hrs. The course fee is Lm25 per person.
The course is intended for those who enjoy listening to music to enable them appreciate music with a more intelligent ear and an open mind, for greater enjoyment of the art.
The course will be spread over 7 weekends, from Friday 8 April to Saturday 21 May 2005. There will be two sessions every weekend: Friday session from 1730 to 1930 hrs and Saturday session from 1000 to 1200 hrs. The course fee is Lm25 per person
WINE APPRECIATION AND TASTING
This course should be of interest to those who are fairly new to wine as well as to wine enthusiasts. It should also be of particular interest to professionals in the catering industry, including chefs, restaurateurs, wine waiting staff and budding sommeliers.
All participants will further compliment their passion for wine with a better understanding of wine through brief theoretical sessions tested in practise by means of methodical tasting as well as during a wine and cheese pairing lunch. At the end of the course, the participants will be able to assess wine more comprehensively and to appreciate wine more on its own or in combination with food.
The course will be spread over one weekend, from Friday 29 April to
Saturday 30 April 2005. There will be an evening session on Friday 29 April
2005 from 1800 to 2030 hrs and a full day workshop session on Saturday
30 April 2005 from 1000 to 1700hrs. A themed lunch is included.
The course fee is Lm25 per person, covering tuition, course notes, all
wine and port tasting and a themed lunch.
