Short Courses at the University Gozo Centre The University of Malta Gozo Centre will be organising the following three short courses, during September and October 2005.
UNDERSTANDING THE GOZITAN ECONOMY
This course will cover issues concerning the recent performance of
the Gozitan Economy and its likely future development. The course will
be spread over 2 weekends, commencing on Friday 23rd September 2005.
Lecture sessions will be held on Fridays from 1800 to 2000hrs and
Saturdays from 0900 to 1100hrs. The course lecturers will be Professor
Lino Briguglio and Mr Gordon Cordina.
MALTA'S ECONOMY AND SOCIAL HISTORY
The course is intended to cover major developments and issues
relating to Malta's economic and social history under British colonial
rule during the period 1800-1960. The course will be spread over four
weekends. All four sessions will be held on Fridays from 1800 to 2000
hrs. The course lecturer will be Dr John Chircop.
COURSE IN ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
The course will consist of 23 lectures and 2 fieldwork sessions.
The course content is designed to cover topics relevant to
Environmental Studies Exam at Intermediate and Advanced levels. The
course will spread over 24 weekends, commencing on Saturday 15th
October 2005. Lecture sessions will be held on Saturdays from 0830 to
1030hrs.
