Unviersity of Malta Gozo Centre Short Courses (June 2005) The University of Malta Gozo Centre will be organising the following two short courses, commencing in June 2005.

"SAGE - The Accounting Package"

The aim of the course is to provide hands-on training on the leading accounting package, namely SAGE.  It should be beneficial to all persons who wish to use SAGE to keep proper books of account.  The course has been designed to show participants the procedure involved in converting from a manual to a computerised accounting system. Those who aspire to take up clerical employment within an accounting environment can also benefit.

The tutor of the course is Mr Ivan Grixti.  The course will be spread over 7 weekends, from Friday 3rd June to Saturday 16th July 2005. There will be two sessions every weekend: Friday session from 1800 hrs to 2000 hrs and Saturday session from 0900 hrs to 1100 hrs. The course fee is Lm35 per person.

"Melitensia and Printing in the Maltese Islands across the Ages"

This course is intended for those with an interest in any aspect of ėMelitensiaķ, that is books, ephemera and other forms of printed matter related to the Maltese Islands.  In this context, the historical development of local printing will also be discussed in some depth.

The tutor of the course is Dr William Zammit Ph.D. The course will be spread over 4 weekends, from Friday 3rd June to Saturday 25th June 2005. There will be two sessions every weekend: Friday session from 1800 hrs to 2000 hrs and Saturday session from 0900 to 1100 hrs.  The course fee is Lm20 per person.
