On Wednesday 16 March the fifth in the annual seminars Work in Progress in the Social Studies will feature Dr. Carmel Borg and Professor Peter Mayo, Faculty of Education.  They  will present a paper, Challenges for Critical Pedagogy -  A Southern European perspective. This presentation will identify some of the most pressing issues facing educators adopting a critical approach to education. It will also propose pedagogical strategies to confront these issues in a meaningful way. There will be a regional focus in this presentation - the Southern European part of the Mediterranean. The issue of migration will be given great prominence throughout the presentation. 6-8 pm.
