Work in Progress Seminars - 29 March On Wednesday 29 March the seminar series Work in Progress in the Social Studies continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary, with Christiane Hellermann (Humbold University Berlin and Malta University) who lectures on Anthropology of Migration at the University of Malta. She will explore her research on Eastern European Immigrant Women. Her paper is: Money for Here and Home - Economic Strategies of Migrant Women. What is the situation of 'single' migrant women who are the breadwinners for their families in their home countries? Based on case studies, Ms. Hellermann will reveal not only the problems many of these migrants face, but also their possibilities of agency.
