The National Commission for Higher Education: A Dialogue Now that the National Commission for Higher Education (NCHE) has been established, the University Chaplaincy believes that a continuous dialogue between the Commission and all the relevant entities at University is necessary to ensure the benefit of all the University Community. The Chaplaincy is thus creating the space for this dialogue to continue in its next ‘Chaplaincy in Dialogue’ meeting.
This meeting with the theme ‘The National Commission for Higher Education: A Dialogue’ will be held on Thursday 25 th May 2006 from 1900hrs to 2045hrs at Dar Manwel Magri sj (opposite Mireva Bookshop). A panel of speakers chaired by Dr Ruth Farrugia will be presenting their views and expectations about the NCHE. The panel will be made up of the Chairperson of the Commission, Mr Joseph F. X. Zahra; Prof. Charles J. Farrugia from the University Senate; Dr Anthony Vella representing the Malta Union of Teachers; Dr Ing. Victor Buttigieg as representative of the University of Malta Academic Staff Association and Dr Pierre Schembri Wismayer on behalf of the University Chaplaincy.
The Chaplaincy is inviting all the members of the University Academic Staff and all those interested to come to listen and participate in this meeting. They will also have the opportunity to become more aware, to clarify obscure points and query debatable ones.
