New Paper by Professor Godfrey A. Pirotta in U.K. Journal

The Politics of Public Expenditure in Malta is the subject of a paper, written in association with Prof. Maurice Mullard of the University of Hull, UK., will be published in the Spring Edition of the Journal of Commonwealth and Comparative Studies. This seminal paper looks at the policies which produced the structural deficits that have plagued Malta’s finances during the past twenty years and the politics to which this gave rise. The paper is the first of its kind to address such issues and aims to lay the basis for future research in the field. Prof. Godfrey Pirotta is currently Associate Professor of Government and Policy Studies and Head of the Department of Public Policy in the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy while Prof Maurice Mullard is Professor of Social Policy at Hull University and the author of two books on the politics of public expenditure in Britain.
