Dr Stephanie Fabri is an economist, specializing in entrepreneurship, strategic management and public policy. Having worked in the private and public sector, Stephanie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in applying economics to firms, consumers and communities.

Dr Fabri read for her PhD at the University of Warwick and her dissertation looked at strategic management in British companies. In her dissertation, she applied mathematical models used in Artificial Intelligence (fuzzy-logic methods) to the social sciences. Prior to getting her doctorate, Stephanie graduated with a MSc in Public Sector Economics from the University of York, and read for her first degree in economics from the University of Malta.

Stephanie has been lecturing at the University of Malta since 2010. In 2019, she joined the Department of Management at the University of Malta as a full-time academic. Prior to this, she was engaged as a researcher at the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation within the University of Malta, where she conducted research on the role and implications of knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship in Malta. She was also a board member of the Centre of Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation.

Prior to these engagements, Stephanie held the position of an Economist at the Strategic Policy Secretariat within the Office of the Prime Minister where she was tasked to review policy documents piloted by various Ministries and assessing the implications of such documents on the Maltese economy from both a local and international perspective.

Between 2008 and 2011, Stephanie worked with E-Cubed Consultants Ltd. as an economic consultant where she gained her experience in applied economics. Among other projects, she worked on reports for the Malta Council for Economic and Social Dialogue (MCESD), the European Economic and Social Council (EESC), the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST and various studies for Government-led projects and private sector entities.
