- Malta (February, 2002) – EIA Training Course, Methods and Techniques – organised by MEPA in collaboration with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment ( UK)
- Firenze, Italy (October, 2002) – MECO General Meeting – conference dealing with academic contributions towards the study of sensitive Mediterranean coastal ecosystems. I presented a scientific paper at such a conference on the ecological data I collected during my BSc (Hons.) thesis, which is also the subject of the first paper included in the list below.
- Malta (March, 2003) – the FauEU conference – FauEu is a EU-funded project and I was invited to attend such a conference both in the vests of a researcher and also as an environmental journalist.
- Malta (April, 2003) -MEDCOAST 2003 Environmental Management of Biodiversity in Coastal Zones- in this conference, organised by the NGO Gaia, I was invited on behalf of Nature Trust (Malta) to deliver a talk on threatened sand dunes in the Maltese Islands.
- Malta (May 6, 2003) – the launching seminar for the Marine Pilot Project – I will attend as one of the organisers, together with Dr. Aldo Drago, of the event.
