Lending system for Biology Department dissertations

Dissertations may be borrowed by sending an email with the title, year and author of the required disseration to Mr. Anthony Calleja Sullivan with
- The required title
- Author
- Degree/Year of required dissertation
A request will be forwarded on your behalf to the Head of Department, and upon approval, you will be contacted to arrange an appointment to borrow the dissertation.
Dissertations may be borrowed or consulted on the following conditions:
- On a one-day basis (i.e. once borrowed, they must be returned by the afternoon of the same day at the lastest)
- Limited to one at a time per borrower
- Against a deposit of 50 Euros which will be refunded upon return of the dissertation
Failure to return a dissertation during the stipulated time shall result in forfeiture of the deposit. In addition, if the dissertation is again not returned by the following morning, the borrower concerned shall not be allowed to borrow any more dissertations.
Dissertations shall only be available to staff and registered students of the Department of Biology. Anyone outside the department must obtain written approval from the Head of Department before being allowed to borrow or consult any dissertation.
The copyright of a dissertation belongs to the author. Borrowers shall sign a declaration that they will not in any way make copies of all or part of the dissertation, that any use of the information in the dissertation will be duly acknowledged, and that if the borrower intends any use other than normal scientific citation, then the author's prior permission shall be obtained.
