Chemistry students who have been given clearance for working after hours are to adhere to the instructions issued by the University through the latest News on Campus ...

The health and safety of the University Community is a priority at all times. Thus, it is important and in everyone’s interest to ensure that all members of staff, whether academic or support staff, as well as students, making use of the University’s premises after normal office hours and / or during weekends, notify their presence and their whereabouts to the security personnel at the main gate entrance. This is of utmost importance as, in the case of an emergency, the security personnel would be in a position to establish and indicate the head count of persons still working in the offices, laboratories etc. of every building. This would also facilitate the work of the security personnel patrolling the campus so that they might determine whether unauthorised persons have entered a building.

Please call on extension 2803 or 79242491 to contact the security personal at the main gate entrance.

We trust that there will be collaboration by all parties concerned in the interest of the University’s security, health and safety.
