| DESCRIPTION | This study unit offers students first-hand experience of work in a setting where general and social policy services are administered. During their attachment to the agency, they will participate in tasks involved in managing, administering, planning, implementing or evaluating the service. The practicum will be designed in such a way to afford a good learning experience, a reasonable scope for initiative and skill, and particular independent projects (which may include an extensive exercise in evaluation and/or implementation). Arrangements will be made to set specific learning goals and give the students guidance during it. Assessment will be made on the basis of the quality of the participation and the level of competence achieved, with the help of a written report about the experience by the student. |
