Rev. Dr Alfred Micallef In 1969,  Fr. Alfred Micallef earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at Heythrop College.  After a two-year period of teaching experience in Kampala, Uganda, he returned to Europe where he studied Theology for five years at the Gregorian University in Rome. There he obtained a first degree in 1974 and a Licentiate in Spiritual Theology two years later.  Developing an interest in the role of Psychology in the Spiritual Life he sought to further study this aspect and, in 1987, he obtained the degree of post-Master’s Professional Diploma from the Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education at Fordham University, New York.  Back at the Gregorian University, he started a S.Th.D. in Spiritual Theology with Prof Mihály Szentmártoni on disclosure in spiritual groups which he completed in 1993.
