TITLE Perspectives in Moral Theology

DEPARTMENT Moral Theology

 
DESCRIPTION The first part deals with the history and method of moral theology. The teleological, deontological and dialogical models will be explained with reference to Christian authors (Augustine, Aquinas, Alphonsus, Liguori) and movements (rise of private confession and penitential books, Jansenism and Laxism, Vatican II).
The second part examines the catholic social tradition as a continuing argument on the problem of social exclusion.
