| DESCRIPTION | The objective of this study-unit is twofold: to introduce students to the nature and role of law in human society in general and in the life of the Church in particular, as well as to help them understand, interpret and apply Church laws in practice. For this reason the study-contents of this unit will be made up of these areas: - The juridical and legislative heritage of the Church; - The 1983 Latin Code of Canon Law; - Ecclesiastical and Customary Laws (cc. 1-28); - General Decrees and Instructions (cc. 29-34); - Singular Administrative Acts (cc. 35-93); - Statutes and Ordinances (cc. 94-95); - Physical and Juridical persons (cc. 96-123); - Juridical Acts (cc. 124-128); - Power of Governance (cc. 129-144); - Ecclesiastical Offices (145-196); - Prescription and Reckoning of Time (cc. 200-203).
