The Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi and the University of Malta Rector, Professor Juanito Camilleri signed an agreement for the creation of the University of Malta Trust Fund. The ceremony was held at the Auberge de Castille on Monday 17 April.
The Trust Fund, which has been created as a means for the University to have its own funds, has received a donation of €500,000 from the Government.
The University is now inviting individuals and companies to give donations for specific projects or for the University in general. The funds donated to the University will be tax deductible. The Trust Fund will be used for research purposes.
